Where Your Holiday Grows – Our Kirchwieserhof Farm

The heart behind our Chalet Resort

A real farm at the heart of the resort

When you stay with us, you mainly see the chalets, the mountains and nature. But right in the heart of the KIRCHWIES Chalet Resort lies our Kirchwieserhof – a real family-run farm.

This is where our family lives. It is where we work, care for the land, harvest and prepare the things that are part of our everyday life. The farm is not only where Kirchwies began – it is still a living part of our resort today.

What grows here

Our farm changes with the seasons. In summer, strawberries, raspberries, redcurrants, blueberries and blackberries ripen. We also harvest cherries, apricots, peaches, apples, pears, plums, grapes and nuts.

In our vegetable garden, we grow vegetables and a variety of herbs. Some of what we harvest is turned into homemade jams and syrups, which you can later discover at breakfast or in our Hofladele farm shop.

From our farm to your table

Our animals are also part of life on the farm. We keep our own chickens, whose eggs our guests can enjoy, as well as Scottish Highland cattle.

We also offer selected products such as salami, Kaminwurzen, bresaola and other meat products. For us, it is important to know where the food we serve our guests comes from.

Our 3 new farm residents: the alpacas

Three alpacas have recently joined our little farm community. With their calm nature and curious eyes, they quickly became new favourites at the Kirchwieserhof.

They are now a natural part of everyday farm life, bringing an extra touch of authentic farm feeling to Kirchwies.

Perhaps that is what makes Kirchwies special: you are not simply staying in the mountains. You are staying on a real farm – right in the heart of our Chalet Resort.

Farming never takes a day off

While you relax in your private whirlpool or enjoy the view of the Dolomites, work on the farm continues.

Our meadows are cared for and mown, and the hay is harvested as feed for our animals. Our forest is also part of the farm. The wood that grows there is used, among other things, for heating.

Farming does not follow check-in and check-out times. It follows the seasons, the weather and the rhythm of nature.

Luxury with roots

A chalet resort with a private whirlpool, sauna and plenty of privacy may seem far removed from a traditional farm at first. To us, the two belong together.

We want to offer our guests comfort and tranquillity without hiding where we come from. The Kirchwieserhof is not a decorative part of the resort, nor is it a staged farm experience. It is our home, our origin and, to this day, a real working farm.
