Meet the Plieger family
Originally, our luxury chalet resort in the Dolomites was a farm and saddlery. In 1972, Frieda and Luis began renting out guest rooms and holiday apartments. At the time, the concept of “farm holidays” was still quite new, and guests would even lend a hand on the farm. In 1999, we, Rosamunde and Walter, took over and brought fresh energy to the business. In 2016, we made a long-held dream come true and began building our first chalets, offering our guests greater privacy and a more luxurious holiday experience. Since then, the resort has continued to grow year by year. We are particularly proud of the exclusive Reinhold Messner Chalet, named in person by the South Tyrolean mountaineering legend himself. Throughout all expansions and developments, however, we have always placed great value on tradition and authenticity. Our genuine, heartfelt hospitality and personal approach are especially appreciated by our guests. Over time, our children have also joined the business, and we are delighted to be able to run it together as a family.
Walter
designs and builds our chalets with a keen sense for craftsmanship, nature and atmosphere, and looks after the house, farm and outdoor areas with great dedication and skill.
Rosamunde
keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes, always maintaining an overview and bringing both structure and heart to the business.
Elias
is the main point of contact for our guests and is responsible for communication, marketing and everything that represents Kirchwies to the outside world.
Hannes
creates delightful breakfast moments, lends a helping hand on the farm and brings his close connection to nature into the resort every day.
Hannah
brings together movement, lightness and wellbeing – with Pilates, creative breakfast ideas and a great sensitivity for our guests.
